Data licensing for established businesses
AI labs pay for real examples of skilled work to train and test their systems. Your email, files and systems are full of them.
We license selected records on your behalf, negotiate the best available rate and manage the process. You approve every term, and you pay nothing unless a license is signed.

The situation
Data buyers do these deals every day. Most owners never have. That’s the gap we close.
01 Why your records
The public web has already been scraped and trained on. What AI systems still lack is the record of real work done well: how a request becomes a finished result, and the judgment calls in between.

02 How it works
AI labs negotiate data deals all the time. Most business owners never have. We bring your opportunity to the labs, compare what’s on offer and negotiate for you.
We present your opportunity to AI labs and work to secure a licensing offer.
We compare available offers and negotiate price and terms on your behalf.
We coordinate reviews, communication and next steps with the labs, so you have one point of contact.
You approve the terms. Rights and privacy are reviewed before any records are shared.

Your signature, your call03 Your options
There are a few ways to license business records. Here’s how working with a representative compares.
| Going it alone | Self-serve marketplace | Cascade Data Partners | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who works for you | You do | The platform serves both sides | We do. We represent you, not the buyer |
| What it takes to start | Finding buyers yourself | Usually connecting your tools | A conversation. No files or logins |
| Offers | Whoever you can reach | The platform’s buyers and terms | We approach labs and compare offers |
| Negotiation | You, against teams who do this daily | Standard listing terms | We negotiate price, uses and retention |
| Your cost | Your time and legal fees | Varies by platform | Success fee only. Nothing unless you sign |
04 What qualifies
Files on their own aren’t the asset. The most valuable records show a piece of work from start to finish, across the systems your team already uses.
Where work gets requested, debated and decided, including the reasoning behind each call.
Gmail · Outlook · Slack · Microsoft Teams
Proposals, contracts, procedures, reports and workpapers: the written record of how you operate.
Google Drive · SharePoint · Dropbox · Box
Work captured end to end: the brief, the steps taken, the handoffs and the finished result.
Asana · Jira · Zendesk · ServiceNow · Practice management
Invoices, ledgers, orders, schedules and inventory from the systems that run the business.
QuickBooks · Xero · NetSuite · ERP exports
Pipelines, quotes, pricing and renewals, plus the notes that explain why deals moved.
Salesforce · HubSpot · Pipedrive
Recorded calls and transcripts: the conversations where problems get worked through.
Zoom · Google Meet · Microsoft Teams · Gong
Repositories, reviews and incident notes that show how engineering decisions were made.
GitHub · GitLab · Bitbucket
One project followed through email, chat, files and your systems tells a story no single source can.

Answer four quick questions for an indicative range. It takes about a minute, and nothing is sent until you choose to share it.
07 Privacy & control
You approve the terms. Rights and privacy are reviewed before any records are shared. Here’s what that means in practice.
What’s shared, how it may be used, how long it’s kept and what you’re paid are set out in a written agreement you approve first.
Pick the systems, date ranges and folders. Leave out any client, project or department you’d rather keep private.
Client agreements, confidentiality obligations and industry rules are checked for anything that limits what can be licensed.
Names, email addresses and company names are swapped for consistent stand-ins, so the work still reads clearly but no one can be identified.
Account numbers, tax IDs, passwords and access codes are removed. Legal correspondence, HR and payroll matters are excluded entirely.
De-identification lowers risk; it doesn’t erase it. That’s why scope is yours to set, and why nothing is final until you sign.
Kept intact so the work still makes sense.
Replaced, removed or excluded before delivery.

Permission for AI labs to use selected business records for defined purposes, such as training and testing AI systems, under terms you approve. You are not selling your company or handing over your systems, and you keep ownership of your records.
No. A conversation is all it takes to start. We ask about your business, the systems you use and how far back your records go. Nothing is shared until there is an agreement you have approved.
Protecting people comes first. Names and contact details are replaced, sensitive identifiers are removed, sensitive categories are excluded entirely, and you decide what is in scope. Rights and privacy are reviewed before any records are shared.
Often, yes, but it depends on your client agreements, confidentiality obligations and the rules in your industry. That is why rights are reviewed before we approach buyers. Some records may need to stay out, and some businesses will not be a fit.
Nothing up front. We are paid a success fee, a percentage of the license value, only if a license is signed. There are no retainers or hourly fees, and the first conversation and estimate are free with no obligation.
No. Buyer interest depends on demand, quality and rights. We will tell you early and plainly whether your records are likely to attract an offer.
If you know an owner sitting on years of records, introduce them. We’ll handle the conversation and keep you in the loop.
